Summary

WiFiPulse Launcher shows Wi-Fi information, runs network diagnostics, launches installed apps, and provides a home-screen widget. It does not require a user account. Versions configured with Google services use Firebase Analytics to understand feature use, Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose errors, and Google AdMob to display ads when enabled. These services can process data on Google's servers as described below.

Information used for app features

The app does not add SSID, BSSID, IP address, ping hosts, installed-app names or lists, or numeric Wi-Fi, speed, or ping measurements to custom Analytics events or custom crash diagnostics. If you choose to share a result, the result image is passed to the app you select; that app's data handling applies.

Local age check and optional services

The app is intended for users aged 13 and older. A neutral age check can use a date of birth entered on your device to determine whether you are 18 or older. The date is processed locally and is not saved or transmitted. Only the category adult, under 18, or unknown is saved on your device; this category is not sent to Google or included in analytics or crash reports.

You can skip the age check and use the core Wi-Fi, launcher, widget, speed-test, and ping features. AdMob/UMP, Firebase Analytics, and Crashlytics are initialized only for the adult category. They remain disabled for users under 18 and for unknown or skipped age checks. You can change the category in Settings. Changing from adult to under 18 or unknown requires closing and reopening the app so already initialized services stop fully. This does not delete information previously received by providers. Optional speed tests and ping still create the network requests described below.

Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics

For the adult category, when Firebase is configured and collection is enabled, Analytics receives generic screen names and feature-use or success/failure events. Crashlytics receives technical crash diagnostics, such as app/device information, installation identifiers, stack traces, and native crash data. JavaScript diagnostics added by the app contain a fixed error code and sanitized bundle-line positions rather than raw error messages or network details. Google's SDKs may also process usage and device/installation information needed to provide their services. See Firebase's privacy information.

Usage analytics is off by default. Adults can choose to enable it in Settings → Privacy. Crash reports are enabled by default for adults in configured release versions and can be turned off separately in the same settings. Analytics collection changes immediately, and the app does not enable Firebase advertising consent or ad personalization. Changes to native crash reporting apply fully on the next app launch. When crash reporting is disabled, the app stops adding manual diagnostics and requests deletion of unsent reports. Disabling collection does not delete reports already received by Google.

Advertising and privacy choices

For the adult category, when advertising is configured, the app uses Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). The advertising SDK can process IP addresses (including approximate location inferred from them), advertising or other device identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostics for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention. Available ads and data handling depend on your privacy choices, device settings, and Google's configuration. See Google's Privacy Policy and Google Mobile Ads data handling.

For adults, the app requests updated ad privacy information at startup and displays a consent form when required and available. You can revisit Ad privacy choices in Settings when Google requires that option. Android's settings also provide controls for the advertising ID. Analytics and crash-report switches are separate from ad privacy choices.

Retention and deletion

Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app removes locally saved feature data and preferences. Data already processed by service providers is subject to their published retention/deletion practices and applicable project settings; this app does not define a separate provider retention period. See the linked Firebase, Google, and Cloudflare policies. Contact us at the address above for questions or privacy requests.

Children

The app is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. Advertising, Analytics, and Crashlytics are disabled for everyone under 18 and for unknown or skipped age checks.

Firebase Analytics 및 Crashlytics
